i heard a stroy about a guy who got in a fight, broke a kids jaw and went to jail. All you got to do is connect at the right angle and your ass could be getting hammered behind bars. Unless your being attacked, its probably not worth it.

Fighting can be worth it in some cases. if you need to put a kid in his place then you need to. it can also teach people not to fuck with you (if you are being bullied). but if the kid is acting like a douche because hes insecure i wouldnt bother. it may make him feel worse. Story is really needed though.

Usually not worth it. There was a time when men could have a good old fist fit and settle a score but these days the stakes are too high. Between school punishment, criminal prosecution for these things these days and the fact your parents could be sued (damn good chance if you win and you started it haha)

Only fight if it's in the now. Like if you are at a party and it gets heated with another kid, you can walk away or fight and you need to make that decision right there. If you have to go home and sit on it and think about how you wanna fight some kid it's better if you just don't because it's better to not fight than fight. So don't but if at some point you have to make a choice on the spot fight or flight, you do what feels right.

So 4 weeks ago a friend and i were talking and she asked for my opinion on this guy, and i said i didnt like him i thought he was a fag. a week later this kid comes up to wanting to kill me, for calling him gay. the 3 weeks later he decides to start bitching at me agin calling me names and shit then his friends join in. all of these kids are no more then 5'4'' and 130... i am a big kid 5'11'' 200 and i am a black belt and a line backer, i would kill these kids regaurdless... i dont know if it is worth the trouble.

Not worth it. Either you fight him and whoop ass and be that guy who pounds on smaller kids or he gets one good punch on you and you look like a baby. Lose - lose situation. Beating the shit out of him would feel good for the time being but after effects would probably be bad. Just embarrass him in front of his friends, that's what I would do

Way more embarrassing for him than getting beat up by someone way bigger than him. Also, if you're in school he would probably get in trouble and you wouldn't.

BUT DO NOT FIGHT! Last summer i fought a marine who was easily 40 lbs heavier than me. Knocked him unconscious and kept beating on him after he was out, all his friends saw it and reported me to the police, went to jail, charged with agravated assualt, droped down to disturbing the peace cuz of a good lawyer. spent 10 days in jail at the age of 17. Everybody knows i can fight and i study martial arts but i dont fight at all cuz i know my power and dont need to prove myself anymore.

Why would you want to go out of your way to beat HIS ass, when it was you who started talking shit first? You sound like an immature little prick. Kid should have rocked you one in the face for talking shit about him in the first place, maybe teach you a lesson.

most the time, yes. with a random person out on the streets? no. i'd fight a kid at school, but i would never fight someone i didn't know. he could be some crazy who pulls out a screwdriver and decides to gouge your eyes out. its better to just ignore shit and walk away, provided it isnt a big deal. if someone pushes my sister in the mouth, well, the guy has to get his ass kicked regardless of consequences.

Watching that video of kids fighting made me realize that there is no way I could or ever will fight anyone. I just can't/ couldn't ever do it for some reason.
I'm going to say don't fight him, because literally it's a lose-lose situation, like other people said. So personally if I were you, I wouldn't.

Hell, I had plenty of times where I should have kicked a few kids asses but I never did. I wish I did though... story time so you can understand why I wish I did:

Story#1:
Right now I'm 6'3" 195 pounds, so I'm finally thinning out. I used to be pretty chubby/fat and I have been all my life. I've also always been a great amount taller than other kids too.
Back in middle school there were these two punk/jerk kids on my bus. I was sitting by myself in the very back seat of the bus one day, in the single seat. One of the jerk kids gets on (I don't remember details it was so long ago) and he starts telling me he wants the single seat. I was like, "well I was kind of sitting here before you". He starts calling out "oh fatass needs the single seat to give himself more room", some kids started laughing. At that point I was going to just give him the seat so that he would shut up, because it literally wasn't a big deal. So I stood up and was like "alright fine you can have it" Then he was like "oh no now you gotta stand up for yourself" as if this turned into some time for a teaching lesson, and he pushed me back into the seat. So then his punk buddy gets on the bus and they both sit in front of me and I can hear them talking about how I wouldn't give up the seat at first, or something. So then one kid turns around and punches me (kinda lightly) in the face. So I just turned away and started to look out the window. Then his friend kind of pushes me over and sits down in the single seat next to me. So I look at him and he does that "head butt" thing to the face which hurt like a bitch. So I was getting pretty annoyed at this point and I tried to push my way out to go up to the front of the bus, or just try to get away from these jerks. The kid in front of me takes his thumb, and jabs it into my eye. I put my hand over my watering eye and kept trying to push my way through and away from these two kids. They started yelling at me to "stand up for myself", while punching me in the face a bunch of times. I finally ended up getting through in time to get off at my stop though.
I don't know how the bus driver didn't see ANY of this, she never really cared about anything in general though.
I've also never told anyone that story either. I got off the bus with a bloody nose and stuff and just told my parents "I don't know how it happened, it was just a random bloody nose".
For about a year after I got called "the kid who can't even stand up for himself".
Sorry that was a long, stupid story. I just wanted to say that, I wish I would've just beat the living shit out of those kids. I didn't though, and if you just ignore this little situation you have, nothing bad is going to happen from it.
Story #2:
A few years ago in freshman and sophomore year in highschool, in gym class I got made fun of by 3 kids constantly for being "fat, and stupid and a waste of space" It went on for half a year freshman year. Then a quarter of a year sophomore year. My gym teacher overheard the kids during sophomore year though and the kids got sent to the principals office. She asked me how long it had been going on for, and when I told her... I think they got into some pretty big trouble. I didn't see them in class for a few days after that. So at first I wish I could've kicked their asses too. Although I'm sure whatever they had to sit through for those few days was a lot worse. Haha.

Basically OP: don't beat them up, it won't accomplish anything. I didn't beat anyone up even when I should have, and I turned out fine and didn't die. Haha

what martial art do you suggest me getting into? never had the need to defend myself or pick fights. but I think It would be really cool if I actually learned the correct way to fight and not look like pussy... most high school kids

Just fight went you need to defend yourself, because if you beat the shit out of someone you can have some trouble whit the police and it don't worth it.

I know your not going to like my suggestion but wrestling would be the most effective for you to learn. 97% of all fights end up on the ground. If you know how to control your opponent opn the ground, then your good. But pretty much if you study any martial art you will dominate any single person no matter their size, without any problem.

I myself did wrestling in high school, jui jitsue for 2 years, and thai boxing for 3 years.

If its not that big of deal, ignore them fighting is really alot of drama and headaches. If they are affecting you everyday and you can't ignore them, fight, for men win or lose after a fight you usually get rid of all the annoying drama... just remember of you do fight, you can't really win. even if you beat them to hell.

That story makes me pissed off on so many levels. No one else on the bus said anything to them? No one came to your defense? Kids sound lthat fucked with you sound like serious lowlife. I hate to say it but it was stupid not to fight back. You can't just sit and be fucked with like that your a good person to turn the other cheap initially and not want to fight but as soon as someone physically touches you you have to defend yourself. It's your right and I would say obligation to yourself both physically and mentally. You don't deserve to be fucked with physically or hurt and mentally you don't deserve to get berated and fucked with like that. Next time you really need to break through that fight or flight hold up and defend yourself. You arnt doing anything wrong if you hurt another person in honest self defense you have to remember that it's your god given right to defend yourself. And no ones a hero or a saint for just rolling over and not lashing back. But don't take this as criticism i mean it as serious advice. Those kids are pieces of shit.
