So I recently broke my 2month used 2011 K2 Revivals, by catching the underside of a box at my local ski hill. This resulted in my left ski essentially breaking at a 45 degree angle. I was very distraught, as this certainly is not covered in the described warranty. Yet I kept hope alive, and decided to send them back to K2, so they could inspect them and see if they would be covered.
Then a few days ago, I received a packaged at my local ski shop, from K2 containing brand new 2012 Recoils for me! I've been so stoked, and am just waiting for them to be mounted.

 I just wanted to give a shout out to my boys at K2 for hooking me and helping make the rest of my winter amazing, and not suck! I'm definitely going to buy from them in the future, knowing how kick-ass their customer service is and such. Props!

Just gained massive respect for K2. Been thinking about getting Domains or Recoils bbut can't think of which ones. But that's sick

same thing happened with me and volkl except what happened to me was covered in warranty and they sent me significantly worse skis

Good news...glad it worked out.  Smashed my domain's edge inward and the base gave out at one of the seams in the "K".  I ended up spending a night getting high on ptex to fix it because I was afraid K2 would be pretty strict with their warranty.  Glad to see the claims dept. isn't run by meatheads!

Did that 2 years ago with my dissorderlys, and they sent me a fresh pair. Not even a question. K2 is such a sick company, stoked to still have trustworthy people in this world

I ride the Recoils, and love them. Idk if the Domain has the rubberized sidewalls underfoot, but that is some amazing technology. Dropped about a 10-15ft cliff directly to a rock under my foot, and collapsed the core of my ski. the rubberized sidewall completely absorbed the blow, and bulged out a little, saving the integrity of the ski. No edge crack, no difference in performance. Im convinced any other pair of skis would have been totaled.

Other than that, they are a super fun, poppy park ski that rips the rest of the mountain. I will always Ride K2.

My recoils are super durable as well. The only real damage i have been able to give them has been two edge cracks and a whole lot of edge rounding. (All of which occurred from one hard hit on stairs while doing urban.)

They definetely aren't light, but k2's can for sure hold up for a long time, best durability record in industry IMO.
