maybe the distance isn't that long, but it's just extremely poppy so they can do dubs.

Haha this looks like all of the jumps that Eldora puts out every year, they are fun for big laid out backflips, but you'll kill yourself trying anything else.

Definitely not enough info. Jumps can be totally deceiving until you've actually hit them. If you want an opinion of pop, get a photo directly from the side so we can see the curve of the jump.

Of course, if the jump has a steep landing, then pop is totally fine. I actually totally prefer poppy jumps (well when I used to jump more) and by the end of my park building career I was doing mostly shorter deck, steeper landing but huge smooth kick jumps. They're a blast if you get the cut of the takeoff right.

the deck of the jump could be at a nice angle upwards and scale could be much larger so the "poppy" could be just because of the perceived small size of the takeoff.

Pretty flat-light photo.

This big line at Lake Louise a coupla years ago had super poppy jumps that were quite short, maybe 30ft but you got soooo much airtime.

Well that says more than a photo if you ask me. As soon as someone says "that landing is too flat" it means that there is a problem with the kick of the jump. You can always have a nice landing if you take away kick. :)

Of course, you should have a nice steep landing and some solid kick to make a perfect jump... but the world is rarely perfect.

A properly built jump y ou should be able to land on your back and be totally fine. There should be very little impact.

a jump needs a really good balance of length AND pop tho, you dont want too much pop or too steep of a landing or you just end up with an aerials jump.

well, all I'm going to say is that those people complaining about the two rail options to 4 jump options in the x games got what they wanted. three rail options to two jump options... we may see a slightly different podium... well... other than 1st of course.

Well... yeah I'd agree with you in theory, however now that we're looking at triples all over the place... an aerials might be exactly what we need. ;)
