FKS adjustability

Hey NS,

I just have a quick question. I know that FKS bindings aren't meant to be adjustable to different boot sizes, but I've heard that there's a small amount of adjustability in the heel, mainly intended for forward pressure tweaking. How many CMs or MMs of adjustability is there? Say there's a pair of skis I'm considering, and they're mounted for an FKS at a 316 bsl, and I want to reuse the holes with my FKS 155s and I have a 310 bsl, would I be able to use the same holes and just adjust the heel, or will I have to remount? Thanks a lot,

May as well try adjusting them first. But you will probably need a remount so be prepared for that.

when i bought mine i was told a cm in either direction. that could be false but seems accurate to me

I'm assuming 5mm? If so I guess I'll have to remount. Thanks for the info.

You should be fine, but don't be disappointed if you have re-mount.  I'd say +/-5mm is pretty spot on, but I'd also doubt that the initial mount wasn't out by +/- 2-3mm anyway, so you could be sweet!

its a 316 bsl to a 310, so 6mm, just out of the range. Thanks for the help anyway.

yeah I know. But what I'm saying is that I highly doubt the original mount is exactly 316 anyway. He/she could have it set for a 316 when the mount is actually more like 313, which puts you well in the clear.

It depends on where it was when it was first mounted.

They have a total adjustment range of 1.5cms, but if when they were mounted the adjustment was set all the forward, you can't go forward more. Most of the time its in the middle (meaning plus and minus 7.5mms), but there's no guarantee that's the case.

depends where they are mounted. Generally +/- 8-10mm.

I had to do it today, you can get about a cm out of them maybe a little less but none the less they dont move much
