Yeah I agree. But apparently she was taking anti-depressants which may have a side-effect of being violent. I just feel like there would be more of a argument about the mental state of her and weather or not she needed psychiatric help.

That is so brutal. It seems like everything was done correctly, and I am not sure how exactly I feel about the life sentence. I mean, that is really fucked up, but a teenager being sentenced to life? She seems pretty mentally disturbed and I wish she would of gotten some type of rehabilitation sentence and then jail time on top of that.

Idk, I am really confused about how I feel on this...

Idk life in prison is pretty bad, why put them out of their misery? Put her in solitary for her entire life sentence by the 3rd month her mental health would already be super deteriorated. In 30 years she will probably have spent so much time alone thinking about why she is their she will have developed institutionalized schizophrenia.

Or burn her at the stake.

I'd be pretty surprised if she doesn't already have schizophrenia. Notice in her journal entry she wrote about killing multiple people, and that she dug two graves, but there was only one body. Maybe the other person she killed was in her head.

for a crime committed at age 9! 9!!!!!! Fuck when i was 9 i didnt know what the fuck i was doing, to be honest i cant even remember it. The ammount a person can change in a life time is massive!

I dont disagree that what she did is wrong. But she needs help and care and love!! LOVE! She needs to be taught how to love. I dont think this will happen in prison and she will just spend a life miserable and alone for something she did when she was 9. I dont think its right that she can be taken as responsible for her actions at that age. Get her some help.

why pay for her to develope schizophrenia so we have to pay more for her to get help. She new damn right what she was doing and what the consequenses were. Maby she will change i dunno. I just dont see why people have to pay for her to sit somewhere when she killed an innocent kid? I guess im a strong believer in the "eye for an eye"

eye for an eye is a pretty empty way of doing law. what if i torture and kill 200 people? what is the "eye for an eye"-punishment for that? torture me and then kill me 200 times more violently than i did to them?

or in her case, she destroyed the life of a family and violently prevented a young child to live a long and fulfilling life. is the needle really enough for that?

i believe that a lawmaker has to stay on top of it all.

she will get her ass handed by some cops on the way to the prison and in the prison itself.

well eye for an eye doesnt work really work that way the way i see it. I look at it is whatever the outcome was of what you did, it happens to you. So if you kill 30 people, then someone kills you. In my opinion theres no middle ground in eye for and eye. Theres things that can different tho. Lets say someone steals an ipod from best buy. Instead of having them sit in jail and not do anything, make them pay them pay for the ipod and then some.
I read an article somewhere where if someone stole from the store, there sentence was to have them stand in front of that store with a sign that said "i stole _____ from this store". Pretty good way of dealing with things if you ask me

Do you pay for shit? I don't know, just an honest question. It's just that usually the people who argue that they don't want to "pay for ____" don't actually pay for anything yet i.e. are young and inexperienced in these matters.
