Icelantic ski's: The Gypsy

Alright so I search barred and I saw one thread asking about them but I wanted to know a little more about them and if they would be the right ski for me. Basically they seem like awesome ski's but what I am primarily looking for are ski's that are good for powder, playful, poppy, good for switch and tricks but can also run groomers. I am 6'1, 205 pounds and was just wondering what you guys think.
I'd be skiing pretty much Whistler only with them, and probably Switzerland and not so much looking at park as I am for backcountry. Also are these ski's any good to tour with?

OK so you want a ski that is good and playful in powder, can ski groomers, and can be used for touring. I would not suggest a soft, fully rockered, 125 underfoot ski. a stiffer ski with rocker/camber/rocker at about 115 underfoot would do you better. Id suggest bibby pros, or caylors.

how much do you care about how well the ski does on groomers?

Ohh i just saw a video of the new gypsy and it appears to have the same technology as what 4frnt calls 'reflectech" (rocker profile matches sidecut profile). It might be able to carve but it will still be 125 underfoot. i would still rec one of the above two but the gypsy looks alot better now.

Yeah the Gypsy is looking like a sick ski lately which is what got me interested in it, ski groomers is kind of a thing I want although I'm looking for more of a backcountry ski, I still would rather have the majority of it allmtn.

just looked up the bibby pros and they look pretty sick, maybe thats what I was looking for!

Sorry triple post but, how would these ski's hold up in early season skiing? (Bibbys) Since I can't really afford a huge quiver...

yeah gypsys would be awesome in like a 2 or 3 ski quiver but their too specific for being a quiver unto themselves. The bibby's would be significantly stiffer but based on icelantics reputation for durability and the way a friend of mine treats his nomads id say they might be less durable than the icelantics but they're not going to fall apart on you. Not completely crazy bomber but they felt pretty burly to me.

alright cause i gotta wait a bit before i buy some park skis and i just need something that will be good for early season as well as shredding for most of the season, then maybe late january/feb. i can get a pair of park
