Im going to college

im going to University of Vermont next year, and i was just wondering what resort i should get a season pass to? any suggestions, need something close and good

uvm gives a huge discount to some places, pretty sure. 99% sure there is a uvm discount at sugarbush better than the regular college pass.

for some reason im thinking there is a pass called the sos pass. possibly sugarbush, okemo, stowe? not entirely sure.

stowe, killington, and sugarbush are going to be the top 3 in the area though.

stowe easily. good discount pretty fun parks (somewhat lacking this year due to snow deficit but still fun) tons of good groomers and glades. im a sophomore and have gotten stowe both years so i cant really compare but i have no complaints

yeah ive heard that stowe is the best there, im in maine right now, so any comparisons of resorts there to here? i havent been to vermont bfore

If you're from Maine Stowe is alot like the Loaf. I had a pass to stowe last year its $399 and this year went with Triple Major (Jay, Bolton, Mad River) $299. Stowe has the biggest park up here, Jay is the best for powder. I went with triple major because we can drive down to Bolton for some night skiing after classes.

you can get a triple major pass which is for jay bolton and mad river. You can also get one to sugarbush or stowe. I know a stowe pass for all college students is 400 and im pretty sure sugarbush is 319 or something like that

mount snow is in no way anywhere near uvm. Its atleast a 2 hour drive away probably more.

Idk about anyone else there, but anyone else think mt snow isthe most over rated mountain on the east coast. The terrain at mt snow is pretty awful. That north area sucks. The park is pretty decent just because its so big. The actual features arent anything special. The lifts fucking blow i was on one that the back was angled forwards. Idk man i just hate that mountain / rant

My friend said either Sugarbush or Stowe. 

Sugarbush is huge, but I haven't been there in a long time, and I have only been to Stowe for a post-season rail jam.  I'd say Sugar, but it would come down to whether or not I knew people going there.  I'm not sure if there's a time that you have to get a college pass by to get the best deal, but I would wait to see where the kids you know go.  You can also ask people you meet at school what's good with the hills. 

Regardless, I would definitely hit Jay when it snows and Mt. Snow when the park is in full swing a couple of times as well.

MT. Snow is like 2+ hours away killington is like 1.5 hours get a bush pass because bush is the most fun or stowe because it's also pretty fun but dont go anywhere else sugarbush or stowe are the best two

grew up shreddin the loaf. love it very comparable to stowe. tons of awesome steeps, hidden glades and secret stashes. theyve also really been steppin up their park game in the past few years. if your within a reasonable distance of it (its kinda out there) i would definitely recommend it.
