Isn't CKO pretty much the benevolent (we hope) despot here anyways, and therefore, wouldn't the president elect be little more than a figurehead, a demagogue tool to be used by the larger powers to deceive the masses? Just a thought.

^Posts like that one lead me to wonder if maybe there should be voting restrictions to, say, member #s 30,000 and below, or those who have been here 6 months or longer. I mean, if you don't know the site, and don't know your candidates, how can you make an informed decision? Again, just thinking.

It's not a question of equality... kids under 18 aren't inferior, but we don't let them vote, either. Anyways, I dunno about BigJ. Not only was he not in Vietnam defending his country, IT HAPPENED YEARS BEFORE HE WAS BORN! Is that the kind of person you want leading your website?

Realistically, this should be between the Park and Big Mountain political parties... come on, it's a skiing site.

I dunno, I like the park vs Big Mtn idea... we could have scandals, like 'Big Mountain candidate Patrick Melvin was photographed today jibbing an S-rail at Mammoth, leading some to accuse him of hypocrisy, having claimed that Big Mountain is central to our sport. The Melvin campaign has yet to issue a response to these allegations. Meanwhile, Park Party incumbent Pat Warner is still under investigation, following reports of his having received a bribe from skiing giant Salomon to allow them free reign on the lucrative Newschoolers advertising market. New evidence, including promotional Salomon T-shirts and stickers were found in the apartment of an individual known only as 'Teddy' (for reasons of anonymity), with whom the president was allegedly having an affair.
