I posted one thread about this yesterday and all the sudden 3 more threads have popped up. Searchbar it or just look at the past two pages before you post.
Honestly, the only way you'll truly know is to get some for yourself. There's gonna be 50 people chiming in here soon that have never ridden First Drop hating on it and saying it's the worst thing ever, followed by like 3 people that have actually owned it, and 20 people who will pretend to have owned it just so they can talk shit about it.
I personally Own a first drop suit and i don't have any problems with mine. It is holding up just as good as my old oakley suit. Just be warned that the sizes are huge
I haven't had any problems with my FD except for the fact I bought two sizes too big. I don't understand why there is so much hate on FD, I think it's a dope company and I like their outerwear.
I've had both Saga and First Drop. There is no comparison. I got a First Drop suit for a trade and regretted it a day after I used the suit. Bent over to unbuckle my boot, and one of the suspenders almost rips out of the seams. There were various loose stiitches everywhere on almost brand new pants and the jacket was not much better. Yes they are warm and its insulated, but its OVER insulated to the point its ridiculous especially in the pants. There is no sense of quality although I adimit I liked the blue/black combo and the zip off sleeves. The fabrics feel cheap and scratchy, and the waterproof ratings seem bogus. In wet snow, the jacket absorbs water not repels. Your better off with Saga, Armada or Orage.
FD had some kinks they needed to work out but they are getting much better. As you can see from the fact they actually posted on this forum they actually care about their products and their customers, which is unlike other big name companies in the industry. Saga is great outerwear as well, but really it's all about preference in style, and I believe FD makes a good product and they back it.
i owned two jackets and a pair of pants and i will never buy fd again. rips easily, zippers broke, fit feels weird and it looks ridiculous. the only reason i purchased their outerwear in the first place is because of the sizing
