I have the opportunity to backpack through south america and it'd be legit to go through colombia before i hit up central america. I know it's a shot in the dark, but if any of ya'll have traveled through colombia tell me how it was and your experience.
i'm a us citizen and currenlty the state department says its not a good idea to go there because of kidnapping and all that shit, but some sources have emphasized that the gov has beefed up it's security a lil bit. basically exploring it would be badass.
