Witch brand has a better reputation for their skis. like if i were to compare the AR7 to the Afterbangs what ski would preform better and have a better manufacturer to stand by their product.
you're comparing the wrong skis. The afterbang is a cheap price point ski meant to take a beating and then thrown away at the end of the season..... the ar7 is not....
a better comparison would be the ar7 and the chronic.... personally i'd go with the chronic as line always stands behind their product whereas there have been some horror stories about armada's warranty process.
no comparison the ar7 anyday. but the abang and ar7 are not a goo comparason. the chronic and ar7 are good and havin them both (2011 chronic and 2012 ar7) it is hard to decide and i cant choose both amazing skis. i will say armada has better customer service and waranty.
We could go back and forth all day but your going to slide and slam them into concrete and metal all year anyway so they will fall apart. My advice on park skis is get the least expensive one that is fun to ride.
Word. Ar7s are the best ski I have ever ridden. I have 2006 (I think?) T halls (The scar face half black/white ones). They held up when I weighed 160, I water ramped on them, and rode on them the other night. I weight 175 now and they were just as fun and buttery as they were back then. Armada makes the best skis, IMO.
I remember when armada used to be a core company. But it's nice to see all of the love they get. My 07 el Rey's are still skiable today after three and half seasons of pure rails and Ice on the east coast.
