I know we all hate the off-season, at least us of the normal people class here who can't afford to go skiing year round. But the worst part is the last 2 months leading up to the season where your mind just starts to freak out I guess. Yesterday I went up to my mountain for a snowboarding competition, and looking up the hill I couldn't help but envision what the place looks like mid season, and it reminded me of back home when I got so bad as to just drive out to Jackson or Targhee just to see the place, standing there just wanting the snow to fall so bad, only to realize it's still mid September. Do any of you do crazy shit like that? Or is it just me. It's kind of an extreme case looking back at it.
'...Smoking's bad, smoking killed my dad. Yeah, he was driving down the highway one day and as he was lighting his cigarette, it blew out the window. So he jumps out the door to save it, and ran himself over. Uh, you mind if I smoke?' -Olie Ollaussen, Ski Bum extraordinaire
