Easiest/cheapest way to get to Mammoth by Plane?

Trying to get out to Mam at the end of February from the east coast. What's the easiest/typically cheapest airport to get there from? That includes some kind of transportation since I won't/can't rent a car

i got airfare there from san diego for 230 round trip. dont know what it'd be coming from the east coast.. prolly a 2 stop trip..

east coast to denver or SLC
then to san diego or LAX to mammoth..
