seemed a little dark to me but that is mostly the weather there. the other thing i noticed was that all of the shots on the jump seemed too tight. we never got to see if they came all the way around on the trick or not and i wasn't a fan of the slow mo becuase it was a bit choppy. some of the rack focus shots seemed to cut too fast also because they never really seemed to get into focus before the cut. it looks like you did some color correction tho which wasn't too bad, just with that weather its a bit tough to make it look amazing. not too bad tho. maybe next time just take a few steps back from the jump like you were on the one with the kid in FD red and blue
I personally didnt think the music went with it at all. For me rootsy tunes and warm colors go together, darker less saturated shots should go with more grungy music (whether it be rap, rock or anything else) and harsher cuts.
I think a more upbeat music selection would fit it better. Also, you should backup and record the moments leading up to the jumps too instead of just showing clips where he is already in mid-air.
i think for the song choice the editing went fairly well. The overall color seemed a little blue and dark for me. My suggestion is just play around with your white balance a bit. not sure what camera you shot with but if you have the Kelvin option, play around with that a bit. Also for the slow mo shots, they seemed a bit choppy, try shooting in 60fps and converting to 24p for a real smooth look. keep working and you'll get it!
oh ok i was gonna say you could use cinema tools from the final cut suite to conform the slow mo a little better. i don't know anything about vegas tho
