I live on the east coast and my family has had a trip planned for a while to ski Alta, Snowbird and a few others over our February break (starts the 25th). I have heard there isnt as much snow out there this year and its too late to back out, but i was wondering if it is still a worthwhile trip? I went in December 2 years ago and enjoyed that, so if there is as much snow now as there is in an ordinary December I think i would be satisfied. Thanks for any help.

Exactly. Plus, that's still a few weeks out so with any luck (and we need some) we'll get some more snow before/when you're out here.

We're in the midst of another high pressure ridge so no snow for another two weeks or so, but you might be ok when youre coming. Either way its still better than the east.

ha yea, though it hasnt snowed like it usually does this season would be considered "best season ever!" if it was back east. We're just all shit heads because we just came off an 800in and a 650+ inch year

Just follow this guy's report until you come. He's been the most accurate of anyone here in Salt Lake City - including the NOAA.

We were really hurting earlier this year but things have looked up a bit. Most things you will want to ski will be open unless its really gnarly terrain. you might be a little limited but i think youll be happier than being on the east coast. just watch out for those stray rocks here and there
All times are Eastern (-4)
