if you're in college the last thing you should be on is food stamps. Fucking bullshit. I don't want my parents to be paying their taxes to go to you. No matter how hard it is when I go to college, I'm not going to get fucking food stamps and exploit the already majorly exploited system

food stamps are where its at. I dont know if you can qualify for them as a student but if you can then go for it. For everyone that says get a job and stop being lazy fuck them. its not up to you to decide if you get them or not, if you qualify then go for it. when i got them in oregon i just told them the truth, unemployed, buy food for myself, and they said here you go, food stamps. if they want to give it to you then let them.

I'm just curious to know what everyone else spends on food, cause 60$ at the local grocery store, gets me about 2 and a half weeks. So I drop 120 on food a month giver or take a few dollars. Then again I only eat twice a day.

Living alone during "college" I spent 80-150 USD per month on food. Living with my ex it was a stable 120 USD per month.

Wasn't sure if I really wanted to commit to four more years, finally decided I did, all the deadlines had already passed, so I couldn't even apply. Wayne State Med sent me a letter saying that they had seen that I was interested in med school but didn't apply, so I should come to their school and do a master's program for two years upon which I would automatically get an interview/most likely be accepted to their med school, soo that's what I did. Kinda fucked myself over, but whatever. No regrets.

Meh, I graduated with a 3.74 science gpa (3.81 overall) with a 31 on the MCAT, which is pretty respectable. Frankly, I don't give a shit if you believe me or not. Got caught up with partying/drinking my senior year of college and wasn't sure if I wanted to basically throw my life away by going to school forever, because I was sick of school and ready to graduate and move on with my life. Then I realized I was just being an idiot.

I just don't see any concernible point in your ranty and fucked up behavior on NS over the last month or so that would make you posting your age as 17 instead of 23 in a thread otherwise completely unrelated to age but more about getting about in life with several controlling factors as any kind of "trolling".

My brother goes to SCSU and he's having trouble right now. He works 25+ hours a week and he's taking the 6 classes (3 of them have lab requirements). He can barley afford rent.

Food stamps are there for a reason

Just to play devil's advocate to all you that have posted something like^. Now I have a good setup (work pays for my college) but I have multiple friends from my previous job that have saved money for school, since they make just too much (as do I at 13.00/hr) for student loans. They work, pay rent, blah blah blah, and pay cash for school. It sucks, but people do it.
