I tried....It's a lot harder than the show though, like those people on the show are sometimes spending 20+ hours a week couponing

But with an hour a week you can def save some money

Haha I tried it too, well I was only helping out a friend who wanted to do it for fun..we weren't able to the total all the way down to like $8, but we cut her shopping bill by about 60% :D

but seriously, if i needed food that bad and couldnt afford it, i sign up, theres no shame in it.

Back in the early 80's when my dad was at med school, he had to pay his way through plus worked 3 jobs and still went hungry, so one day him and his buddy went resorted to hunt their own food. (he's not a hunter by any means). So they walked to the edge of campus with a .22 in broad daylight and shot a doe on the edge of a highway were they keep the grass cut. They field dressed it right there and brought it back to his dorm on campus and hung it upside down in his shower. It fed him for a quite a while.
You probably couldnt get away with that now though.

Yeah, I was just wondering about the whole "three differen jobs" thing. I'm assuming working many different shifts alongside your studies? Is it to work your way through college or just to stock up on getting rid of debt?

Make your post: I don't believe that you work 3 jobs while going to school full time, unless each job is part time for 5 hours a week, like being a T.A. for a class. Secondly, I have a hard time believing that you have a hard time affording food if you truly ARE working 3 jobs, even if you're paying rent, making car payments, etc. Three jobs at minimum wage is at least $21 an hour total, and assuming that you're actually working full time (which I highly doubt), That's $840 a week, or roughly $3360 a month. If you can't afford food on top of bills with that kind of money, you're doing something seriously, seriously wrong.

Uuuhh... then why don't you live on-campus then? And why do you need $60 a week on food, haven't you heard of Pot Noodles? And why do you need a car, heard of public transportation? I did the math for 3 full time jobs. Don't complain that you're working 3 jobs if you're only working 30hr/wk total. That's not even full time for one job.

He has to go to COLLEGE, for a SCIENCE degree. For every hour of class time there's 2 of study time. He could work full time for 3 jobs, but that'd be 120 hours a week. Leaving him 42 hours to sleep over 7 days.

Haha how am I being a prick? The kid attacked me over some simple math, which all checks out, btw. He failed to mention that while he may be working three jobs, he's not even working full time, so how was I supposed to figure that into my math? He then proceeds to assume that everyone is 14, since zomgg he's such a big college boy working 3 shit jobs just to pay his outrageously overpriced cable bill, when he could quit two of them, work the same amount of hours, and make the same amount of money. He just wants people to feel bad for him since he's working 3 jobs and going to school full time. To be honest, he seems like a punk bitch to me.

It's the internet, people lie. I already went to COLLEGE, for a SCIENCE degree. In fact, in a few months, I'll be finishing GRADUATE SCHOOL, for another SCIENCE degree. Then, guess what? Starting next year, I'll be starting MEDICAL SCHOOL, for a MEDICAL degree, where it's not uncommon to work 80-100 hour weeks. But it's ok, I can understand your ignorance. I was simply doing some math, that's it.
