New poles, what should i buy?

Hey fellow NS

I just bought a pair of Armada Alpha 1's and im stoked bout them. I got them cheap from a german website, so i still got shitload of money to spend. What poles should i buy?

I have been looking at Armada BC telescope pole, the Leki Rodeo and Leki Superhero. Are those telescope poles worth the money, cause its awesome to shift lenght when going from park into the off-piste, or are they pure shit?

Get the heaviest, most bomb proof metal pole you can buy. I have a pair of Scott Series 4 from who knows how many years ago, and they have yet to get bent or broken.

i wouldn't shred park with a telescope pole if i was you...

just get 2 pairs, 1 for park and perhaps telescopes or simply a bit longer ones for pow days ...

and for park poles you can go two ways
1) ultra cheap poles, simply get some second hand poles and mount bike grips on them, if a pole bends or breaks, simply get a new one for 5$ ...
2) sturdy heavy aluminium poles or carbon rental, the carbon rentals are really sweet imho but im not really a fan of stealing, anyways, 3 seasons in with my heavy aluminium scott poles and they hold up perfectly !

grabbed myself 2 long rental poles from under the lift at my mountain. took them home and cut them down. voila, park poles.

just get on old pair of poles dont pay alot of money for poles because they just break.
my friend bought a pair of line pin poles for 40$ and they broke the second day he used them

Im only skiing bout 3 weeks a year (going season next winter though) so i cant rely on 2 different sets of poles. I need a telescope pole or either a normal pole in a suitable length for allround stuff. I am 6.2' what lenght should i go with then? 110-115 cm for an allround pole?

idk about the quality now, but from my friends and I's experience joysticks are terrible

Don't spend money on poles, bottom line they break, in the past 5 weeks of skiing I broken 4 pair however all I got for free or about 10euros, the best poles are rental poles they are bombproof, they may feel heavy and look ugly but you know they last

scotts do NOT break!!!!!!! so sweet and worth money! (i got mine onsale for 30 bucks and theyre the empire ones!)
