Hey I just wanted to let everyone know that a switch zero spin is NOT a straight air. Ya you dont really need to say switch because most of us know what a zero spin is, but ive seen kids on the forum be like: "OMG Switch Zero Spin??? You know thats a straight air RIGHT??" Well you know what kids? its not a straight air , its a fucking switch straight air.

See this is where i get annoyed. A switch zero spin is the same as a zero spin. its the exact same thing, but ppl just call it zero sping cause the switch goes without saying.

Any 5 year old can put together that logic. Whenever you see someone say sw zero spin, they're are 99% of the time joking.

eheath goddamit I really would have expected more from you...

you cant just add switch + zero spin as if its a double negative or some shit. if someone says switch zero then they obviously mean a zero. Doesnt that make sense? A switch air where you dont spin? Sure they dont even have to say SWITCH because all fucking zero spins are switch. Regardless if they say switch zero it doesnt make it forwards, its even MORE clear that they mean switch.

OK, im in my mid 20s and mayb im losing touch with the lingo that the younger guys have. back in my highschool days we used to call it a switch zero because that name actually describes the trick perfectly. I figured ppl just started calling them zeros and we all just assumed that they meant switch zero.

my point is that no one wud actually call a forward straight air a switch zero, but someone who wasnt that familiar with the lingo might refer to a switch straight air as a switch zero.

The name "zero spin" implies that it is switch to switch, much in the same way that a "kangaroo flip" is actually like a double flatspin thingy.

Saying "switch zero spin" was usually a joke with people. "Oh hey, I'm going to do a switch zero spin" and so-and-so does a straight air. It's a joke.

IF YOU SAY "SWITCH ZERO SPIN" YOU ARE SAYING STRAIGHT AIR. SAY "ZERO SPIN" IF YOU ARE REFERRING TO SWITCH TO SWITCH STRAIGHT AIR.

i just think of "switch" meaning "opposite". you're skiing facing the opposite direction when you're skiing switch. so, intuitively, an opposite direction zero spin is a straight air.
