"At long last, Facebook is expected to announce this week that it's going public.

The Mark Zuckerberg-led company could be the biggest initial public offering ever for an Internet company, perhaps even topping the record-breaking Google offering in 2004.

When Facebook starts selling shares to the public, Zuckerberg is likely to be worth $24 billion."

No single product or service from one company has ever had 900 million users in the history of the world. Coca Cola is the only thing I can think of that has a similar reach. People saying that it will be gone in 5 years or that it's the next MySpace are misguided.

Having said this, all of the 'big money' has already been made on Facebook. You are not going to get filthy rich buying into the IPO. There is a chance you will do well, maybe something similar to the return you would have if you bought into Google's IPO. There's also a chance that you will be flat for many years and not get much of a return at all. But that's what investing is all about - taking risks and being compensated (or punished) for them.

hahaha thats exactly what I Did. One year ago almost exactly I strategically went through and deleted everything one at a time. it took roughly 4 hours but theirs nothing left. Except every piece of information i volunteered as a junior in high school when I started that is still permanently affixed to their servers.
