Dalbello VS. Full Tilt

Well I currently own some of last years Dalbello Il moro t's and i was looking at some full tilts. I would simply re use my liner from the Dalbello's and put them into the FT's. What would the size conversion be? i currently have a 27.0 and I'm looking to go a half size up (toe bang). I was wondering if it would be worth it to go to a 27.5 FT boot?

If that is youre problem you might just not have the middle buckle tight enough, i would stick with dalbello, they are much better quality

I have the middle buckle as tight as it goes all the way to the point where my foot goes numb. Definitely didnt help. and i cant stand how many times my racket thing on top has broken, and the strap there too. I also just broke the middle buckle on my right foot. havent even had these a year.

What's wrong with your Dalbellos?

If you want Full Tilt because they are the tits, then you should get learned.

Wear the boot that fits. If it's your Dalbellos, keep them and just get new Dalbellos (same model).
A Full Tilt might not fit you properly.

Is their a FT boot that is just slightly wider? my Dalbellos are pretty dang good fitting but they are just a hair too narrow. and also, anyone know the size conversion from dalbello to FT?

I don't think there is a size conversion.

Go get what fits your foot best. See a boot fitter, you might end up in a Dalbello again, you might not a get a Full Tilt

I went to a boot fitter and got those with orthopedic footbeds and everything. Didn't fucking work. sorry for the profanity.

The il moros have a 98 mm last and the full tilts have a 99 mm last, if you like the fit of ou dalbellos you can get the krypton pro id, they are the same fit as the il moros but they dont have the slap ratchet closure, but a boot fitter a a reputible shop would be youre best bet on getting a boot that fits best

My best bet (and I'm no boot doctor,) is to go to a boot guy, and explain to him what your problem is. Maybe you might just need to have the boot punched out in some spots.

But feel free to go out and get fitted for a Full Tilt. It might work, and it might not.

Yeah they definitely have a different shape. 25.5 FT's killed my feet, but my 25.5 kryptons feel great.

1, are you sure you're not landing backseat? 2, you can get the boo stretched out at a shop, my local shop even did it for free and i didnt even buy the boots from them

Definently go see a boot fitter i had the Dalbello Il Moros and they were killing me, but three years later i got Full Tilts and they are super well fitiing and even though i shred for hours i cannot feel a thing compared to the Dalbellos, so a proffesionel should look at your foot and decide what boot is the best for you.

shitty thing is that i live in wisconsin and there is not a single park boot boot fitter here. I always have to go to colorado to get my boots fit, and i have already been there twice this year.

This is a dumb thread.

You get toe-bang = your foot is moving in the boot. Why would you want a bigger boot?

See a damm bootfitter. Chances are you need a smaller boot, or a proper footbed and a little blow out of the toe.

27/27.5 full tilt is a 310 mm shell (classic shell)
27/27.5 Dalbello is a 316mm shell (il moro and rampage)

dude i wear a fucking 10.5/11 with my real shoes. the dumb boot fitter put me in too small of a boot. my foot does not move at all its just too fucking far forward.

you do not need a park boot!!!! the best boot is the one that fits!!!!


your boot sounds like it is to big, i wear a size 12 shoe and ride in a 28 now, and that is a little roomy. the boots i used to use when i raced where 27's. all dalbello all the time since they fit and i like their quality.


and dalbello has finally listened and changed the ratchet strap on the il moro, it now has a buckle but still has the wide strap across the top.

go to a boot fitter and dont buy a bigger boot with out being fitted.

bro. i went to a boot fitter. i can completely assure you that the boot it too small. i have to crunch my toes up when i ride. i hate it.

The boot fitter said that that boot was exactly the right boot for me, not because it is a park boot, just because of my level of riding and my foot fit in it great. (supposedly) He did not have a boot that was bigger, but he said that he thought i could fit into this one. i have already went through 2 nails that i have lost due to crazy toe bang. I am sick of stabbing my toe nails with hot needles. My toe right now is already turning purple again. I remolded my liners at another boot fitting place yesterday and he pushed the toe out for me. Its helping a little bit but the boot is still a bit small. Also, Dalbello emailed me back about the warranty stuff but still we haven't talked about the fine details yet.

who did you visit? you say you come to colorado to get your boots fit? did you go to larry?


next if this boot is the wrong size going to a bigger size in a ft will not help your issue at all since a 28 ft bsl is the same as a 27 dalbello, or at least its pretty damn close.

I went to this dude called "Dr dave" supposedly one of the best boot fitters. he was in avon colorado. Supposedly he is the one who started/trying to start verticle skis. I wanted to get FT's cuz they are easier to get out of and dont have that damn buckle on top. I'm not in the position to blow another 600 bucks on boots that dont fit.

Sounds like you need to be shell fitted. My foot measured 29 but a 27.5 was the same as a 28.5 in another boot. And everybody thinks fulltilts will solve problems, so did I. Until I tried them on. Go with the boot that fits.

only $600, no footbed, probably no shell work, and i can only assume no alignment either... doesn't sound like you got a custom fit. bad bootfitter, maybe. bad purchasing choices, more than likely.

I definitely spent like 200 bucks on footbeds man. And the dude claimed to be one of the best in the area. Not my fault. It took like 4 damn hours to fit those boots. Definitely had some work done.

Everyone always says go to a bootfitter. Well guess what, in some parts of the country there isn't shit for reputable bootfitters so give some people a break. If they're in CO and asking, fine give them shit, I'm all for it. If they're in the midwest and asking, take into account the nearest decent shop may be a full day trip away.

Most FTs are a 99 last but some come in a 102 last, if the tongue in the 102 last boots in too stiff or soft then you can always swap them out

If the Dalbello is just too soft, seriously try getting it punched before you spend money on a new boot. I think the 102 last would be too big. Look into other boot companies. You don't need a full tilt

have you ever been to colorado?

bootfitters arent just on every damn corner, the closest person that i would trust to work on my boots is dennis at colorado ski and golf, he fitted my dads boots and after swearing i would never buy boots in their store (owned by vail resorts) he actually knew his shit, and i had about an hour long conversation with him about fitting intuitions in my rampages.

about a 20 min away.

then there is larry in boulder, about an hour away, he is supposedly the best.

now i am sure you are probably thinking of people living in the mountains, and there must be bootfitters everywhere!!!! but in breck i have not found one person who i would want messing with my boots.

I lived in leadville for a year and winterpark for a year, so yeah.

But I agree with you about how even in the mountains a quality bootfitter is still hard to come buy, but at least the option is there.

My point is that people live in places where a good bootfitter doesn't exist, so unfortunately they try to get some advice on NS. Most of the people asking r idiots and haven't even tried their local shop, this guy seems like hes done that and looking for some more advice.

On a side note, I actually found it surprising how many shops in CO had no idea what an fks binding was (this was 3-4 years ago). Even the ones that did wanted nothing to do w mounting them on a wide ski w normal brakes. CO freeride, which is closed now (right?) was the only place i sorta trusted.

the guys at podium in frisco (especially Kyle) do good bootwork so if you need anything done you should check them out. theyve done a lot of work with my boots and really know what theyre talking about
