there trying to make it a family resort so there isnt much of a night life but Long Johns is usually a good place to be, for terrain the back side has some really good advance to expert skiing, the terrain park is all about progression but once we get our snow its considered one of the best in BC there no snow making so early season can be a bit rough and the terrain park doesn't get to its max till mid to end of Febuary a

I call it big ice reminds me some times of Ontario, also tends to be foggy and windy alot they have snow making so conditions are usually better early season and they get there terrain park in a lot sooner although from what iv heard the terrain park is marginal at best.....

My opinion best expert skiing in BC

all the resorts in and around the okanagan are pretty much equal. all have great terrain and a good mix of it too. terrain parks at all the mountains are also all pretty awesome. kelowna, vernon and the outlying areas have quite a mix of urban and cops arent that bad for shutting stuff down. ubco is a solid school as well it would be a good choice going to the okanagan. big white and silver star are under the same ownership so you can get a pass for both mountains for an extra 70$. big white definately has the bigger party scene and better on mountain village, SS and BW's parks have always been comparable but i think BW's is pulling ahead nowadays. Snow is pretty identical between all resorts.

UBCO offers a pretty sick deal to BW and I think a $5 shuttle up there too. BW has some fun terrain but all in all is more set up as a family resort. Silver Star is more laid back and opens earlier in the season. Honestly, if you want the big mountain awesomeness, stick to Revy. It's about a 2.5 hour drive and the terrain is sick. The town itself is also a lot of fun with good bars, restaurants, etc.

you could not be more wrong pal. The snow is decent this year although not as stellar as 10/11, there are no snow making facilities (except in early december for the terrain park ONLY) and the park this year has been CLASS.

Took this off Silver Star's pricing page for early bird passes. Dual mountain is no longer being offered to "software being too expensive or something".

dang it. well its still cheaper than my local mountain's student membership.

dual mountain isnt offered anymore because the 2 resorts just recently split up. the owner of both passed away and the inheritors split them up.
