Replying to New Idea For Skis

I came up with this idea for a new pair of skis that are functional and would look good. I have a pair of Surface Watch Life skis this year and they have the squared off top edges. After skiing on these for half the year so far I have noticed that the inside top edged caught each other a lot when they were still squared off. After using them they have now been chipped and rounded off and dont catch as much any more. The outside edges of the skis are still squared off and look good. So the idea for the new ski would be to round off the inside edge of the ski, and to maybe somehow put a laminate over the top, so that they dont chip or catch while riding, and then to leave the outside edge squared off, to keep the looks from the outside looking good. The end result would be the inside edges are rounded off and the outside edges are squared off.
