Is a Tamron 28-80 worth getting?

That lens. A guys is selling for 50 Bucks... with all the boxes and paperwork. in good condition. Is it worth it. All i have is a kit lens on my t3i.

its not. the 17-50 is. but this lens is 50 bucks. and that seems cheap. just wondering if it would be worth it or dont even bother and save up for the 17-50

Well, for what it's worth I'm always a believer of saving up and getting what you really want. I am saving for the 17-50 right now.
