Replying to Bicycle safety
below is a list in ascending order of danger in riding certain bicycals.
1 street bicycle
This is usually safe for riding but can be hazerdous in certain communities
2 neighborhood bicycle
again usual safe but a bit more dangerous, as the wear and tear may cause parts to fail and resulting injury.
3 village bicycle
like the street bicycle it depends on the area and amount the bicycle is ridden by villagers
4 city bicycle
usually the city bicycle is heavily used therefore protective items such as helmets and kneepads should be used city bicycles have been ridden hundreds of times and are subject to parts failure
5 state bicycle
depending on the demographics/population of the state this bicycle may vary in its amount of usage. never the less, helmets and padding should be worn as a precaution.
6 national bicycle
also depending on the nation in question this bicycle can vaery from relatively safe in countries such as Luxembourg to extremely dangerous.
7 continental bicycle
extreme protective clothing and padding such as full face helmet and hockey pads, are a must in all continents besides antartica and perhaps australia. Even though the australian continent and sparsely populated, it is better to be safe than sorry and helmuts padding should be worn.
8 intercontinental bicycle
this is the most dangerous bicycle that should be used and having traveled through jungles and swamps in tropical rainforests etc, a full face helmut and complete hockey padding should be worn along underneath a full biochemical radiation suit to protect from any biological agents in the jungles and radioactive material that may have been picked up from these areas.
10 summit county bicycle
this is the most dangerous bicycle should never be used under any circumstances. Icy conditions make for treacherous riding conditions and rock salt corrodes the bicycles parts and will inevitably lead to bicycle failure. Buses and shuttles should be used and are readily available. Besides, its way too cold to ride the bicycle in summit county for most of the year
