Squaw Valley advice

hey guys, im headed out west to tahoe and im gonna hit up Squaw valley. Any advice about the mountain, and how are the conditions? thanks

well thats not good...ha im going there in like 3 weeks so hopefully theyll get some snow, how are the surrounding resorts like northstar and heavenly?

deff go to jackson. Tahoe is crap right now, if you end up going to tahoe check out mt rose they have pretty good coverage

go there. seriously. N* and heavenly are just as bad. All of Tahoe is terrible.


the next CHANCE we have for snow is the second week of February and that might not even happen. anyways, we need another 10 feet of snow for terrain to open, and to stop hitting rocks everywhere. we have less than 25% of normal snowpack.

we had more snow in July last year.

yeah! lets fly all tghe way out to the West coast and ski the west's version of big boulder!!! Sweet east coast terrain and parks bro!

Just saying if your in Tahoe, boreal is the place to be. Fuck spending a $100 a day to shred anywhere else. Not to mention boreal has a fucking sweet park for the snow that they have. I Never said "yeah! lets fly all tghe way out to the West coast and ski the west's version of big boulder!!! Sweet east coast terrain and parks bro!"

Squaw is epic right now. Might wanna think about getting a sooner flight to take advantage of these all time conditions we have. There are also topless girls in high camp hot tub every day giving out free shots.

If you absolutely HAVE to come to Tahoe for your trip, Boreal is your best bet financially and park-wise. Otherwise, Squaw wasn't horrible today, there was definitely some corn snow to be found.

Yeah... I know you're probably stoked to try out a new mtn/area, but don't. I had plans a few weeks ago to hit up Tahoe for SnowGlobe but cancelled and drove up to Targhee/Jackson instead. Both were money, and they're both received a couple big storms since I went.

I was hoping to check out Squaw this year but that trip is going to have to wait... paying Squaw prices to ski what little they have open on such a crappy snowpack is just throwing money out the window. We aren't much better off in Utah but it's at least colder here.

yeah i see what your saying. i live in Maine. my home resort is Sunday river. ive taken a trip out west every year for the past 3 years and ive gone to Salt Lake City / Park City every time, i just dont know if im gonna be able to go to jackson hole now just cause of plans with the group im going with
