Stupid ski length thread...i know, it's stupid

so next year i need new skis. i want to try to get anthems, so either size 171 or 178. i'm 5'9" but still growing probably (15 years old), so i want them to fit for awhile. currently i rock 159 k2 extremes. yeah i know, they're pretty damn short, i grew a lot. since i will be mounting them center, shouldn't the 178s only be about 3.5" longer tip and tail than 171s? probably not a big deal right? i'm leaning toward 178s just because i can keep growing into the extra length. also: flex. i know anthems have a soft flex. will i have trouble buttering the 178s as compared to the 171s? i weigh about 130 pounds.

anyway, that's my stupid ski length thread. anyone who has/has used anthems that could give me info would be sweet, or any other ski. just want to be prepared for next year so i know what i want.

178 fo sho. i dont think buttering will that much different with the longer ski

im 5'10 and ill probably keep growing for a while. i have 179" k2 press. im pretty lightweight for my height and i can still maneuver the skis with ease. If you wanna get several seasons out of them i suggest the 178"

179 for sure it wont effect much but will look good
