Ok so I got a new pair of skis on tuesday and they are great, I took them up to whistler on friday and got back saturday evening, I wiped them dry and stored them in my room, as whenever I leave skis in the garage they rust like crazy, but in my room they still got rust patches, what should do?
I heard some stuff about getting them off with linseed oil, and they had wax on them.
If it's just light surface rust/coloration it will come straight off next time you ski.
Otherwise I suppose you could lightly rub the surface with some sort of oil, although you would want to be damn careful with regards to it reacting with your base materials etc.
Alternatively, you can just wax heavily and not scrape. But thats more for between-season storage.
