my friend (who was recently fitted properly for boots) sent a jump pretty deep and landed back seat on her left leg. she now has sharp pain down the left side of her leg (along the fibula). it hurts to walk and tilt her foot but not really to put weight on it. there is no bruising. little to no swelling and it hurts to lift her leg at certain angles. has anybody had a similar pain as this? i want to say its just regular old shin bang but she is a little worried its worse as she doesnt want to lose more of her season after fracturing her spine earlier in the season. she is going to hospital later but was just wondering what it was she's done.
yeah i suppose but thats more of a muscle thing and she thinks she's fractured it, i think she being melodramatic and the only answers in there are your pregnant/had a miscarriage/muscle fibre tear
get it checked out, i broke my fibula and thought nothing of it
it isn't the weight bearing bone in the leg so can go unnoticed for a while, i only noticed a couple of days later when i slipped and landed on it that it hurt way more than normal
turns out she fractured her fibula, got no drugs, no cast, got told to stop and take it easy for a couple of weeks and has an appointment later in the week to re-asses.
