Snowboard backflips harder than skiig ones?

Just saw this video from Snowboard Slopestyle finals and noticed that McMorris threw a dubble backflip on the third jump. And he still won with that run. I find it hard to believe that a skier could do that and still get such a good score. So this might be a dumb question but, are snowboard backflips harder than skiing backflips?

weird. Wallisch was doing backflips when his run didn't count anymore.

It's a different trick in my opinion, plus it has a grab. Also Torstein won Big Air last year with some sort of weird triple back. I think you cannot compare a backflip on skis and a backflip on a board, different shit.

yes double backflip is much harder on a snowboard. its almost like a cork 3 on skis

its slightly harder on a snowboard just because its harder to keep an edge on your landing and not washout

him doing the double backflip is similar to a snowboarder doing a 1080. but i think the double backflip was strategic. a lot of guys were having trouble staying on the line through all the jumps. you almost always drift and have to land/take off on edge snowboarding so being able to come in straight and land straight with a fairly difficult trick was smart on his part.

backflips are easier on skis in my opinion. you just have to pop and send it back. snowboarding theres different axis's that can come into play depending on which way you throw it.

that trick was judged much higher then a 1080. the judges give extra points based on how many times you go upside down.

also, to explain my comparison.. I really should have said licoln loop and its similar because its the same cartwheel motion. its not a natural back flip like it is on skiis.

thats a double wildcat. sometimes you hear it as mostercat or a supercat. but its considered harder than a normal double backflip, which would not have scored as high. plus it looks better. the winner a couple of years ago, eero ettala, did a switch double wildcat on the last hit.

I didn't know it had a name, but yeah...definitely not a double backflip. The announcers just didn't know any better. A snowboard backflip is when you leave the lip, turn 90 degrees, and do a backflip.

yea wild cats and backflips are 2 diferent tricks, and to answer the op question, i snowboard and wildcats are sketchy, but i dont know about harder

How come the skiers were doing backflips and punch fronts on their throwaway runs while the snowboarders just went around the jumps? Kinda gay.
