Excited for the new shape Skull Candy park ski that was floating around last year. Hopefully it'll be available for next season. I remember I saw the dimensions somewhere, it had ~100 waist with early rise tip and tail with regular camber underfoot..

I think it was 95? And 4 degrees of rocker, as opposed to the One Life with 8 degrees and New Life with 6

did some quick digging around and found the stats and some photos

"Ridiculously stoked to have the first samples of the brand new One Time w/ Skullcandy graphic. This is a brand new shape from Surface that will be available for purchase in 2012. The One Time has mellow 3 Stage Rocker with 4 degrees of rise in the tip and tail, 138/95/138, 24m turn radius, 6mm of camber underfoot and to top it off, we added some "Bunch Pop" Carbon Fiber Bands. "

So they ski like shit? have you tried all of their skis with rocker or just the one. How do you know you just dont work well with that skis geometry?

I love the way new lifes ski, awesome float and an interestingly predictable pop.

you not liking them =/= them skiing like shit

They have a handful of different rocker profiles (more in the making), and each one handles completely different.

ya i totally love a shit load of drag and not having my tails release from a turn in pow, it makes skiing a blast!

symmetrical pow skis are the worst idea any company has ever had, unless you are hitting jumps with them 100% of the time you are just fighting the way a ski is supposed to ride

anything with their 3 stage rocker(or what ever stupid name they are calling it now) is terrible, if i wanted to feel like i had a wall between the tips and under foot of my skis, then i would just put bricks on them

i've skied the 9 lives and no times, and they just felt like shit, reminded me of k2's which is not a good thing in my book, and ive skied a pair of naturally rockered watch lifes which just shows how shitty the cores they use are

the only ski from surface i would have any interest now in trying would be the walk free, and im positive many other brands make far better products that would fit in the same category in a quiver

so from what I gather you havent actually skied the new lifes, and are hating on them because you think symmetrical pow skis suck?

go ask how many people love ep pros, which have similar tail to tip size. the line opus which everyone agrees skis amazingly, is three mm narrower in the tail than the tip, three millimeters is a very tiny amount.

traditional tails in general are grabby, unless you want to wobble around on rr skis with zero anything-but-pow performance, get used to it. the ridiculous rocker lifts the widest part of the tips and tails out anyways.

this post jumps around like crazy but its past 2AM so I get a little slack.
