Replying to Advice Needed.. Line SFB vs Armada TST vs Nordica Patron
Hey everyone... I am looking for advice for a all/big mountain/powder ski.
Me:
I am 5-11 3/4 tall and weigh 180lbs. I ski at a level II. I am 26 and hoping this ski will grow with me from level II to level III. I have the Salomon Quest 12 boots.
Type of skiiing:
I live east but do the bulk of my skiing out west. When the conditions are right, I am looking for pow, bowls, tree skiing, and explore back country if I'm with someone who knows where to go. I enjoy the groomers, but only if the pow isnt around. When I'm on the groomers I carve a little and like to go fast. I dont hit the park but will hit some lips and jumps on/off trail. So I want a ski that will do well in the pow and crud but also perform on the groomers when the pow conditions arent ideal.
Options:
I have narrowed it down to these skis but I am def open to any suggestions!
Line Sir Francis Bacon
Nordica Patron
Armada TST
Armada JJ
My local store has:
- the Patron's 185 for $699 or $949 with FKS 140's mounted and waxed. I can get them down a little considering I bought my boots here
- JJ's for $699 or $924 w/ griffon mounted/waxed. again I can get them down
-TST's are $675 or $869.85 w/ bindings etc
Any advice and input is much appreciated! let me know if you need any more info.
Thanks!
