Usually tapping it a little stops it.

i had the same issue. I started getting pink videos randomly

Emailed goPro and got a new camera within a week once i sent them a test clip for proof.

my goPro was less than a year old so they covered it no prob

Haven't had a problem with mine like that. Maybe memory card is causing it? Probably not, if it continues to do that just email go pro and they will give you your money back or a new one.

well if its less than a year old email them right away. They are the best with customer service. good luck man

haven't had this exact problem but on longer clips it will start flashing from red, green, then tons of multicolored pixels will appear over part of the screen. Anyone have solutions?

Ya i had the same problem, so i email them. They told me to send it too them and they will send me a new one or they will send me that one fixed.

I've never seen a thread like this regarding a contour however these are quite frequent with Go Pros could be the volume of Sales?... just saying.

contour cameras also aren't as versatile with mounting and such...just saying. if you going to get a camera personally I'd rather get a camera that can take multiple angles and mount 15 different ways rather than just a helmet cam. but if I was going to use the camera only as a helmet cam your right contour is the obvious choice IMO.

Had the same problem (green and pink videos). The problem was the card. I had a cheap CVS sd card, which I replaced with a Sandisk and it works totally fine now.
