All-Mountain ski for a big guy

I am 6 foot 5 inches 260 lbs. I ski about 60% groomers/trees/steeps and 40% park even split between rails and jumps. Aggressive skier.

I am looking for a stiffer ski that can really carve hard. Not kind of sort of holds an edge I mean like close to a gs ski. Lots of energy into and out of turns. 95mm-105mm would be an ideal width but I am not dead set on that width. Good float in pow would be nice. Radius around the low 20's. Camber under foot would be a plus and I'm not opposed to tip and tail rocker.

Would not like to spend more than $400 because that's what is left in the ole ski fund but can get together more if its worth it. Also can wait until next year if anything truly revolutionary is coming out.

I have been looking at the Palmer p04 in a 189 but cant find much on it so if anyone knows anything about that let me know.

I have also been looking at pair of 185 arvs but I think they will be too soft and too short

Right now I am on some 189 king fujas and they are too soft for my liking and don't really carve how id like. They're just not responsive. So I will either replace these completely or am looking for something to complement them.

Those are a bit shorter/ skinnier than what I am looking for. I am looking for something closer to 190 in length and more favoring all mountain.

Salomon el Dictator in the only size it comes in...194. 114 waist, 40m radius, and 300 mm tip rocker. Camber underfoot, good float in pow, stiff, and lay railroad tracks like gs skis. trust me you'll love them. $479 on evo atm.

I was checking those out earlier and I was little concerned about how they'd be in tight trees. Can you comment on how they'd be in that environment?

They are 194s so they are quite long, but have a rather forward recommended mounting point and seem to ski shorter than a 194. I will be on mine tomorrow at heavenly and will take a few dedicated top to bottom tree runs with footage and get back to you. I also forgot to mention they blast thru anything and ski dwn manked crud like it's corduroy. About me. 6'4" 200#. Expert Skiier spend 90% of the time off trail skiing fast on open faces hitting trees cliffs and anything else. Love to rail groomers and I'll hit the park too. My skis are 176 armada ar6, volkl gotama 183, salomon el dictator 194 and Rossi b squad 198. I SPEND 70% of time on the el dictator... That's how much I love it

I am on the east coast so I am not going to have a lot of time in deep snow. Most times in the trees will be kind of skied out which is why I'm looking for a skinnier ski with a smaller turn radius. Not sure id have enough use for a ski like the dictator. Definately would be fun though.

Try to find a pre rocker gotama then, 105 underfoot and stiff although not as stiff as an el dictator. '09 was the last year of the camber goats and they can be found in good shape for $200-300 depending on year and what binding is mounted. Or try a mantra, I believe those are 95 underfoot. The camber goat is a TON of fun, was my everyday ski before the dictator

volkl mantra if you want skinny, Katana if you want wider. 

Both are race constuction with metal, they will be a good bet for you

check out the dps wailer 112rp. I have a pair and for a big ski they rail fucked up hard on groomers. they basically kill everything, the tips float nicely in pow and the tails won't sink if you keep your weight forward. honestly the best all mountain ski I can imagine if you like to turn, but if you're trying to charge and straight-line everything they're not for you. worth the extra money if you can save it up, the hybrids are 800.

My dad's 6'4" and 250, and he really enjoys his 190something Salomon Shoguns. For a middle aged man, he shreds them hard too.

check out the rossi rc 112. Tip rocker, 112 underfoot, big stiff sandwich construction ski with a layer of metal. If you want narrower go with the phantom sc 108. Phantom sc 108 is $157 on evo atm, the phantom sc 112 pros are $357.

the pures are all carbon way more snappy and a lb lighter. hybrids have a damper glass feel
best of luck finding a limited run $1200 msrp highly sought after ski cheap
go with the majesties
them pollocks are really well know for manufacturing quailty

looking at a pair of scott p4's and was wondering how they'd be. I am also seriously considering a pair of coaxs and am kind of caught between these too. I can get a very good deal on the p4's in a 191 ($150) and would get the coaxs from evo for like $480 now. Can anyone give the pros and cons of each or has anyone skied them?

whatever I said fuck it and got the scotts from backcountry. I figured worst case I either have a nice new pair of rock skis or I just send them back.
