Do you like DROID or IPHONE more and why?

i have a samsung skyrocket and I love it. I have never had an iPhone, but I have to say having a "back" button is awesome, instead of just having to go to the home screen....

but regardless, i think that they are both stellar pieces of technology and you probably can't go wrong...

I have an iphone. I like it for the same reason others like it. Holds my music, it's my phone, has the interwebs, the texting is easy, updates about the Blackhawks are sent to my phone for free, and I can bring up my email in the will call line of a show and confirm my ticket purchase.

have both. Droid if you're tech savvy - you can do a lot more with it. iPhone if you're tech stupid, i.e. most people, or you just don't give a fuck about being able to do crazy cool shit with your phone.

and to the 1st response, no, apple doesn't have the fastest processor.

they don't have faster processors, but the difference is that apple completely controls the ecosystem, so all the software is specifically optimized for the hardware, unlike android that has so much fucking fragmentation.

This topic has been beat to death, you either like one or the other, no one is right its all personal preference. I like my iphone a lot, it syncs perfectly with my mac, is built better then any android phone, and i know when i buy one there wont be a new one for at least a year. You can't say that about android at all, you buy the latest android phone and a better one comes out 2 weeks later.



different tools for different people, go play with them both and decide which you like

Do you want the ability to replace the battery and expand the memory on your phone? What about use 4G?

If yes to any of those -iPhone is not the phone for you.

Personally I have the Motorola Droid Razr - and it blows any other phone out of the water. Regardless of what the iPhone fanboys say. Like the iPhone - it does not have a removable battery, however I personally don't find that to be an issue.

also to the guy above me who said you can't do cool shit with your iphone, JAILBREAK IT and you can do every single thing android can, your argument is the stupidest fucking thing i hear always.

also, there is a reason apple is completely dominating the mobile market, apple took 44.9% of the smart phone market in the 4th quater in the US, android was at 44.8, keep in mind how many more android models there are between all the brands compared to the really 1 iphone model. 99% of consumers want a device that will just work, and apple supplies those devices for both the mobile and personal computer markets.

DIFFERENT TOOLS FOR DIFFERENT PEOPLE, NEITHER IS BETTER THEN THE OTHER IN ANYWAY

i have not used both, so i cannot comment, but i have a bell lg optimus lte (in the states i think it's called the lg nitro HD) and i am happy with it.

I have a droid 3 because it was cheaper and I like to be able to take it to the verizion store to work on as the closest apple store is 2 hours away.

Imagine an already jailbroken phone. You can customize just about every feature in the Droid. To have that power on the Iphone, you need to jailbreak it.

I have the nexus s I love it, although I wish i had payed attention to the whole releases cause wish I had goten the galaxy nexus, my brother just got that phone today looks super sick.  personally though I think I'm just gonna wait for samsung to release their 3D phone.  I love android because of how easy it is for free apps and how people can make their own apps..  I have thought about trying to make my own apps too.  would be sweet to make a skiing game kinda like jibberish for android.

Lol, this is ironic but soooo true.... it used to be that apple was the company for the nerds and nobody would ever think about buying a mac over pc.  man how times have changed.

but seriously, i have a samsung facinate (android) and it by FAR has the most "HD" screen.  The iphone screens are dull and a lot smaller.  Have 4 buttons at the bottom vs one is a Huge plus.  Like others said, VERY customizable and is unlimited.  The iphone however, will never freeze up and is generally faster, at least for streaming music from pandora.  I will admit, its hard to listen to pandora while driving with my phone : (   but overall, I like mine better!

oh, and you can put videos on an android way easier (like ski videos) than the iphone

technically its not. your phone is superamoled. iphone is closesr to an lcd that you would find on a HDTV screen. you are confusing size must mean better quality, which it does not.

i had a droid incredible for the longest time but broke it and the next best option verizon had at the time was the iphone 4. Personally i miss my droid sooo much. I dont hate my iphone but i just felt the droid was a better fit for me. I like being able to customize my stuff and make my own. The iphone seems to be more simple yet more complex at the same time. I liked everything about my droid more than my iphone except the battery life.

my droids pushing a year now, ive gone threw a few of them since they kept having problems.  NOw that its older it LAGGSSS so much and freezes like an old pc, also id rather my phone come with32g internally than have to purchase a micro sd card.  Waiting for the iphone5 to come out then it byby android

well i dont know much about droids but iphone 4s are ussually a pretty reliable phone for whatever shit your doing, but the screens crack mad easy, so you need a case as soon as you get one, the new droid razr looks mad dope tho

i don't know if this is cool or scary, but I can activate the camera and microphone on my EVO from my computer, i.e. if someone steals my phone I can see everything in the view of either of the EVO's cameras and hear anything within the microphone's range. Conversely, i can also activate the webcam on my computer from my phone and check out anything that's happening at home.

let's see you do that on your iphone.

Same. I have the og droid, when it came out it was hot shit but now there are soo many phones that are better. It lags sometimes even on mobile ns and storage is tiny. Like not even 1gb on the phone itself, the sd card has 15. My next phone will still be android tho, everyone has a fucking iphone

I have an iphone, and have used one for two years. I am familiar with it, and it is very intuitive to use. while no, it does not do flash, I have few other complaints for it.

While android may be a more powerfull platform, with better screens and processors and other bullshit, it is not as intuitive of a program to use.

I like iphones more than the motorola milestone i had. Then i got the galaxy nexus, it blows an iphone out of the water. Its the only phone right now with ice cream samwich (the new android system) and is faster. A top notch android beats and iphone imo..

I had the droid x, and then I got the iPhone. And I can honestly say I enjoy the iPhone way better. Okay so the argument droid users use is that you can use the phone to do so many more things... I mean okay sure, but I got my smartphone, to use the internet, play music,email, and basic phone functions. And the iPhone does all those things perfectly without any errors or glitches, a very user friendly operating system.

iPhone just works, never had a single problem using it in over 5 months now, and I cannot be any happier with my purchase.

I have a Droid X, and while I like it and it works great, my next phone will more than likely be an iPhone. My entire family has iPhones, with me being the only one with an android phone, and to be honest, I'm not a tech savvy kind of person, and don't feel like taking the time or effort to make my phone live up to its "potential". The iPhone is extremely easy to use, it's fast, I like the fact that it has both front and back cameras (yes, I realize most androids have this now), and I already have a MBP and iPad, so everything will sync up nicely. The one thing that I really like about my phone is that it has a back button. Oh, and I dropped it in my toilet and it worked fine after spending two days in rice, so it's pretty resilient. I think I'm starting to babble a bit, but what I'm trying to get at is, I'll never use my android phone to its so called "full potential" I'll never take the time to root it, and overall I just like the interface of the iPhone better. Why am I still typing? Who knows? FUCK DA POLICE
