Just to clear up a couple things...
-I've worked at boyne country sports bloomfield since 2008 on and off... I work there full time now since im taking a break from school and if you come to that store ask for mike(me), i'm the only person who skis park regularly in the shop. The majority of our staff is knowledgable and ski a ton, however there are some exceptions... During the holiday season our shop is horrendous... we get busy...like really busy... I'd go as far to say by numbers one of the top busiest shops in the midwest. We have a lot of kids who strictly work holidays just to help out and take care of customers (many of which know NOTHING about skiing and are just getting into it) If you want good service ask for a manager. Our technicians are legit and won't fuck up your skis either, just remember to specify if there getting center-mounted, traditional, or whatever. Trust me I understand why you guys are upset with a lot of the employees there... but you have to understand that with a store that does that much business that it's not going to full of the worlds best employees during peak season which are mostly there to just fit children for skis, clothes, and help people who want to go upnorth for a weekend and haven't skied in 15+ years. I hardly ever see any kids come in looking for twin tips, the ones that do usually are like 12 years old. I'd highly recommend for you to apply there if you want a hook up on skis and need a job.
-Don Thomas is legit.. if you go there you will probably not regret it, a couple of the guys i know who work there are good skiers and knowledgable. can't really go wrong with them.
