Xgames real snow backcountry

im sure there are threads about this with the urban comp that xgames holds for snowboarding but i just came across a winter xgames real snow backcountry for snowboarding... why don't they have this for skiing (urban and backcountry) that would make xgames a pretty big thing for backcountry skiers.. anyway just a thought and sorry if this a repost just too lazy to look

Backcountry skiing isn't interesting enough to the general public to be worth the cost and INSANE logistics of setting up a well televised backcountry contest. It's a lot easier to put up a handful of cameras on a half pipe than to provide coverage across a thousand foot vert bowl deep in the BC.
