Replying to Cheap yet really fucking durable park ski for a tall piece of shit on a budget
So guys ive been helping ya'll out with some of your decisions on gear now i just need a few other opinions to push me. I'm 6'3" 156 lbs and looking for a really durable ski that will last me for a few seasons. The most I'm willing to spend is about $450, i know that is not alot of money but thats all i can really spend cause the government has butt-fucked my bank account for college.
I currently ski 08/09 178 liberty phil larose pros. I love these skis so much but since i am so tall i need something in a 180+ cm to be more stable on jumps. I kinda want the same qualities that are in the laroses but slightly stiffer. Something to hold up to the abuse of rails, boxes, jibs, jumps, etc, and last a while (keep saying this i know its annoying). Im not really concerned about weight, shape, or rocker. I'm mainly needing more park orientated.
My season is mainly over, but i may be taking a road trip back out to CO to deliver a vehicle and may do a week or so. I also plan on saving the rest of my money to move out there by november. (off topic but still connected)
I'm telling myself either to find some lightly used skis, find some cheap new ones, or save money and wait till i have enough to buy legitimate skis that will hold up.
so skis that i have found in my price range that are new but are price point:
185 Armada El Ray
184 Liberty Antigen
182 Bluehouse Antics
179 10/11 k2 Domain
181 Head J.O. Pro
179 K2 Sight
179 10/11 K2 Revival
183 10/11 Chronic Cryptonite
183 Ninthward True Twin
185 Ninthward B-Murdah
Or skis to wait for that will be more expensive but will last longer:
186 12/13 ON3P Filthy Rich
182 12/13 Atomic Punx
182 Armada Alpha 1
182 Armada Halo
181 Armada Pipe Cleaner
...............the list goes on but you get the picture............i hope
