1100D or 550D?

Hi, looking for a camera for a bit of both filming and photography, dont know much about DSLR's so any help would be cool. The basic features i need is an external mic output, and exposure settings where i can set is for like 30 seconds or whatever,

Go for 550d/ t2i.

The 1100D only has 1280 x 720 (29.97, 25 fps)

hes talking about the video resolution, pixels then fps.
definitely 550d over the 1100. would like more info though... check the sticky.
