I feel like I break my equipment much more often than I should. Out of all of my friends, I go through equipment the fastest by far. I am the most aggressive of my friends, but I'm also a pretty small guy (5'4 and 125 lbs). Example; at the end of last year, I decided to invest my money in a binding that I wouldn't constantly break. Everyone I talked to recommended look pivot 14s for my price range and when I went to the shop, the tech there agreed and said I couldn't break them if I tried. Now, less than a year later, I have already broken them twice. The first time, luckily, I was able to replace the part and my shop got the bindings back to me very quickly. This time however, I brought them in with a broken brake piece that the tech told me couldn't be replaced for this binding.
If anyone has any insight on that, it would be appreciated, but what I really want to know is am I the only one who goes through equipment rediculously fast, and how can I change what I'm doing? I know a lot of people will say, "don't hit rails" but that's just not going to happen. So yeah, +K for advice, -K for hate, no negative comments please.
