Today i was seshing my hills new airbag and i landed weird and the whole heel piece fell out of my ski. screws and all just popped right out. There are two screws that seemed to have stripped holes. Any ideas on how this could get fixed if there is a way? Im bringing it to my shop tomorrow but if you guys could help me out with some advice and info. it would be much appreciated! +k to good
Your heel piece shouldn't just come out..your shop might have mounted them wrong? Also, you will probably have to remount the bindings alittle bit back from the old holes so you don't pull another binding out. Take it to the shop and see what they can do
No, because all (most?) heelpieces are on a track. For example, new holes could be made 1cm back, and you can slide the heelpiece 1cm forward. This will change the flex an unnoticeable amount, but I remounted one of my heelpieces myself and I don't notice a thing. Helicoils are great, but I think fresh holes will hold up better.
