Spy Promodels & news

I don't think this was posted yet, but its not exactly breaking news.

Spy is making promodel goggles. Right now, you can buy promodels by Marc Frank Montoya, DCP, and Travis Richards. I may be forgetting one other rider as well. Currently, all promodels are by snowboarders BUT Dave Crichton is releasing his promodel early this season. Props to him for being the first skier to have a promodel gog (in my knowledge anyway). There's pics of the promodels on the spy website.

In other spy news, they're also selling a number of region/city specific goggles. I don't have a list of the specific cities & regions right now, but I'll post one later. I can remember such cities as Toronto, Seattle, Denver, NYC and a general Canada goggle. Goggle/strap graphics & colors correspond to that particular region or city. Check out the latest Transworld Snowboarding for an ad of all the goggles which also features the members of hieroglyphics sporting some of goggles.

I havn't been a huge fan of spy in the past, but their new goggles & graphics look really dope this year. Check em out.

Pete is currently sulking around Mt. Hood, shooting with Poor Boyz Productions and hitting on Kristi Leskinen. She hates guys, Pete lamented, so it’s not going good. Apparently Canada isn’t the only thing that’s tough for Pete to get into.

i think the colors of the regional goggles go by the cities basketball team; except canada i guess

hey, incase you didnt notice, oakley makes sunglasses, as well as tons of normal clothes. and most people need sunglasses. and it used to be a big fad in the mid 90s for rappers to wear goggles, so maybe its commin back.

regonal stupidest thing ive ever heard. and atleast put up cities that have mts with snow on them like a whistler or mammoth goggle. the whistler one could be red and white and the mammoth one could be pink. man i should work for spy with ideas like that.

Hey All,

Crichton's promodel is sick...

Its the Blizzard frame with a light woodgrain print, a gold mirror lens, a flat black strap with signature brown leather patches sewn on.

One word: dope.

He'll be rockin' them with some of the other Spy pro team members this upcoming season, and they'll be out in stores next spring/summer.

those dcs sound tyte. and i had a pair of blizzards, and they were dope. they never fogged, while my wisdoms fog quite easily.

for the people bitching about the regional stuff, the reason there isnt' 'mammoth' or 'whistler' goggles is because they are using sports team logos. examples: denver broncos, oakland raiders, team canada hockey etc.
