hey guys I think I have narrowed down my options to either getting a pair of semi cutom folsoms for next year or get a average pair of skis this years such as the punx or faction kennedy? what do you think will last longer and overall be a better purchase?
well i cant speak for the custom skis. But i think that the punx are great. they are light and poppy and have a smooth butter. the are snappy on the take off of jumps and i think they have great durability
dont waste your money on a folsom park ski, park skis are made to be trashed, folsom would be something to look at for a BC or powder ski, maybe all mountain (no park)
ell if i got folsoms they actually would be used for all mountain if possible probally around a 100 105 radius. but idk are they like really high quality and would they be very durable? do you think its worth my money?
$600 it not isn't exactly cheap, but compared to folsom it is. I see lots of romp skis at my mountain and people seem to really like them and it looks like they hold up well. I'm hoping to demo some sometime...
Ya romp seems sweet to! Ok folsoms is now off my list until college! Hahah now it's romp skis, faction and black crows. I already love faction but any reviews or thought on the other skis?
not to be a dick but do some research and DECIDE what type of ski you want, then narrow it down to a few models, then ask for help. youve made 5 or so threads in the past few days. pretty much changing your mind in each of them (or reposting a question you already asked)
and if youre still in high school i would say try to get something economical to save your money (or your parents) for later. and just so you know thats backwards logic to think youll have more money to blow once youre in college
What do you want in a ski? You've made about 6 threads in the past week regarding ski companies. I don't want to be a dick, but if you can't decide on a ski that you want, or know of what you want it used for, I don't think you'd end up with the right custom skis.
Sounds like you really have no idea what you want. IMO custom skis should be bought when someone has an idea of exactly what they want that no one else makes. I.E. a 205 JJ, something like that.
