Decent tri pod

Hey guys I am looking for a new versatile light weight tri-pod . Preferably something that will fit into a Back pack and not be to much of a hassle to ski with. I will not be doing a lot of panning so I don't need a super stable/ smooth panning head. But most of all I really don't wanna spend more then $50 on one. Suggestions would be awesome. +k for helpfull recomdations

You're going to have to be a little more specific, or increase your budget. Otherwise, this one technically meets all of your criteria: http://joby.com/store/gorillapod/slrzoom (ballhead extra).

Check out Walmart (or similar stores) for cheap ones. Ebay too. I'd suggest increasing your budget however. A good tripod is something which you can hang onto for a long time. Chances are, you'll out-grow whatever you buy for less than $50 within a year.

^ save up till u get like $140 or so. Get the weifeng 717 head with legs on amazon. Absolute cheapest you can get for your money. Still not great, but gets the job done if your not getting serious into filming

I have these legs and love them so much. They do everything that I could want. They are a little heavy though. I was thinking about purchasing the carbon fiber version but these are working just fine for me now so I'll wait a little. They're pretty durable too. I've beat on mine a lot and they are still in perfect working condition.
At $168 on B&H I definitely think it's worth saving up for. Just my opinion though.

i have a weifeng 717 head with slik 212 legs I'd sell. not for 50 dollars, more like 150. it'll get the job done pretty well if you're not super into it. 50 is spare change when it comes to video/photo

I once asked this same question, EVERYONE on here will tell you some super expensive tripod, like $1000. See now I'm not some pro video guy that makes money for filming, I just do it for fun while i ride. This is the best tripod you can buy for video for under $100, it's a fluid head that almost never freezes and it even works like some of those $1000 tripods.
