As the title says i dont quite understand how they protect youre back other than youre back hitting a tree when you fall, i just dont see how that is helful, i have never hurt my back skiing, does it restrict your back from bending or like keepcthe wind from getting knocked Out of you, i know this seems like a stupid questiion but i just dont see how they work
