Hey everyone,

I noticed there's been some questions and confusion regarding where you can make a donation to honor Sarah's memory and to help with her outstanding medical costs and related expenses.

This is cool , but its important to note her medical bills were only $200 000. not the $550 000 they originally expected. also , Heath Canada, her sponsors and her insurance have offered to pay the bill. sooo basically any further donations are not really necessary.

GTFO douchebag. I dont care if they are covered, I donated anyways. It will go towards her family and help out regardless.

I think that there should be a foundation for her, that continues to push womans skiing. It can do stuff like make more female competitions, help pay for some girls to ski and more.

This. I doubt you were trying to hate or be negative, but there is more to it then medical bills and services. Any money that is put towards her visions and beliefs will be money well spent to anybody who cares to make a difference. Plus it isn't like we are donating money to people who plan to abuse it in any way. So chill out and don't worry about what people donate their money to.

I donated + bought a sticker. Just because those expenses are paid doesnt mean the money isnt put to a good use. her parents are going to tahiti. Just like Shane McConkeys foundation and High Fives both of which i have donated. I can live without a morning coffee for a week to help with a greater cause

Future donations will go towards post-hospital arrangements such as services and memorial costs and to establish a foundation to honor Sarah's legacy and promote the ideals she valued and embodied.

The extra money will be donated in her honor.  I am sure that the family will not simply keep the extra funds.

you're right, there are millions who need it a lot more. sarah was lucky to have such a good community to support her, there isn't anyone more deserving of our money (time).

yeah like the sponsors pulled her in, not blaming them, but to just be like thats it would be bad. im sure the sponsors will make a sig ski or something for her and give the proceeds

I posted that only to see what reaction i got i understand this was stupid but that is not how i feel about sarah burke at all. she was a a leader in womens skiing and it was sad to see her go
