Why is it those that push the sport die doing it?

It seem the people that will be looked back on to see how they shaped the sport of skiing are the ones passing away while skiing, why is this?

Because we notice it when they die. Way more people die than we recognize.

because when pushing the sport the level of risk increases, a 22 foot superpipe or a wing suit ski base have a much higher level of risk. That being said, there is inherent risks at every level of skiing, be careful

I know right? Pushing it means taking bigger risks. As in Shane McConkey, it's kinda just the law of probability. Like the park ranger who's been struck 7 times by lightning. Well I'd bet my money that he'd have not got hit at all if he wasn't outside, doing what he loved to do.
