started skiing at four, switched around 12 for a year, then switched back cuz i mastered boarding (really easy) and got bored of it. I realized skiing was a trillion times better and i don't know what i was thinking 6 years ago...
I snowboarded for 6 years, then switched to skiing this year. Best decision ever, just try out a friends ski's, if you like it switch next year. Don't spend a lot of money(under $150 for everything) and keep your snowboarding stuff just in case. Skiing is the tits.
hitting rails on a snowboard is 10000000000x better than skis. So many more options and looks way better. Plus on skis for me just dancing around switching up i think looks pretty bad and isn't really that fun
I do, I snowboarded for 8 years and just picked up skiing again at the end of last season. If I'm having an off day with one or just get bored I just run out to the car and switch out. And I get to say I go both ways.Â
thanks guys, and yeah I've borrowed my friends skis a few times and it was a lot of fun. now its just that moment where i actually have to buy a pair haha
I was skiing since 5 and started snowboarding at 10 because I found skiing very boring I still occasionally switch with a friend. Not saying that skiing is boring I find it fun to do 2ce a year but I find no point to switch because I find snowboarding just as fun
Learned how to ski when I was two, picked up snowboarding when I was about 7. Rode until I was about 18, then bought a pair of twins for the hell of it, skied a few times, loved it instantly, and I haven't been back on my board since. Well, I take it back, I guess I've boarded like 3-4 times over the last 5 seasons, but still...
I boarded and skied for two years, got to the point where I could do rails, boxes, double blacks, etc. Just wasn't the same though, so I stopped boarding and ski exclusively now.
