Just missed an interview with my university cause of this FUCKING TIMEZONE. For some reason I thought that 2pm their time was 8am mine but it was actually 6am my time. Woke up to three emails from them asking where I was on skype. FUCK MEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So embarrassed right now don't even know what to say. Anything like this happen to any of you guys before?
Damn, that sucks. Just contact them and try to explain the situation with the difference in time zones. I'm sure they expected you to be on top of that kind of stuff, but mistakes happen. Hopefully it doesn't completely ruin your chances.
^ that. tell them the truth or.. make up some shit about how your internet was fucked or something was wrong with your computer and you couldn't even get to email.
Don't lie to them, internet problems are the type of thing they'd expect you to pass on them. Just man up and tell the truth. It may not be a very acceptable excuse, but if you're lucky honesty might go a long way with the people interviewing you.
Exactly, don't ever lie to employers/potential employers. Man up and your odds of getting the interview rescheduled are probably higher. And hey, if they blow you off, take it as a lesson.
I was just honest and told them the truth. I'm sure they will reschedule and I really hope it all works out. Just feeling so shitty all day though. Man this sucks.....
Hopefully they're able to reschedule something and award you for being honest. If not, there are thousands of fish in the sea- if a company cannot understand your honesty in a situation such as this, they may not be the right match and you might not enjoy being an employee there. Good luck, I hope everything turns out well for you.
