What makes a good edit?

I've been filming for about 2 months just as a hobby, and was curious to get some advice from the pros on what gives a shot/ edit its creative image. Here is my latest edit, tell me what you think of the shots and/ or what would you change about it? Thank You!

i couldn't here the music because I'm in school but besides that I liked it.
Wyatt's steps to a good edit:
1. Steady Hand! No matter how bad the skiing or music a steady hand will still appease the eyes.
2. Find a song that suits your riding style. If you're rocking skinnies and the whole hesh look don't have some hard rap playing.
3. Have fun. Fun always makes an edit better.
4. Don't overuse effects such as twixtor, filmburn, or knoll.
5. Don't over lap shots. It gives me a headache.
6. Successful edit!

its not too bad. one thing that really stands out to me is the white balance. some shots feel very warm and others very cold. like some have too much of a blue tint and others have too much of a yellow tint. white balance all of your shots in every spot you shoot right off the bat and then your clips will look like they all belong in the same edit. thats mainly what i noticed,

skiing was good and i liked the song choice for it. the one time you panned up to the sky and panned back down from the sky the next shot was a good idea but you could have made the time of actually seeing the sky shorter and used a cross dissolve or cross fade transition to make that look more smooth imo. but not bad. keep at it
